PMS is a weird transition for females,
from non-menstrual period,
to a menstrual period.
Pun intended of course.
Why?
First:
Our emotions start to get confused.
We don't know why & how we can change our mood drastically the next second.
It is either we feel too happy,
or too sad.
Or worse,
we can also feel very grumpy...
So that explains our constant mood swings.
The change can only be explained through Science theories that the ever hardworking scientists found out through thorough research.
But for the civillians sake,
I shall not dig further into that.
Second:
Cramps.
We get lots & lots of cramps during these period.
Again,
with pun intended.
Excruciating pain in the stomach causes halt in several tasks,
& at tyms,
flows of tears.
I understand,
it is so hard to imagine,
& explain,
how can cramps prevent us,
the menstruating females,
from getting certain jobs done?
Logically,
it is just an excuse from getting the job done!
Perhaps may be you are too lazy to do it,
or want sympathy from others to help you get it done.
Whatever the case is,
menstrual cramps can be really painful.
True,
at times,
you can't even sit up straight when it attack you.
But,
in my opinion,
it certainly doesn't give an excuse from getting a job done.
Delay,
may be.
Third:
Believe it or not,
PMS can cause us to indulge in food more.
There was once,
without realising,
i ate 2 dougnuts,
a KFC 2 pieces chicken meal with cheesefries,
crackers,
sweets,
lots of water,
& what else i forgot,
in 2 hrs!
The next day,
I had my menses.
It was WOW.
I could have continue eating if not for my friend who told me to stop.
We weirdly feel hungry during PMS.
Fourth:
Sadly,
we get tired easily.
No matter how early we sleep,
or how long we sleep,
we are still tired.
The body will just want to slump,
laze around,
lie down on the bed.
It is as though the body system shuts down
& it tells us to stop working
& relax.
But the problem is,
we are even too tired to rest.
The waist gets tired,
the eyes getting dry...
Basically,
the whole body aches.
Hopefully our dedicated scientists will find answers to these weird phenomena.
Fifth:
Zits will start to pop out everywhere!
This is the most annoying,
unstoppable,
undesirable,
unglam factor of PMS that is most hated by many females.
Especially when you are in the early blooming age of your life like me.
The zits will happily appear
& make themselves comfortable on your clean smooth face,
bringing their whole family over
& spread themselves throughout your whole face.
Tiny zits,
big fat red zits,
even whiteheads
& blackheads.
Your face will become more dry
or oily,
depends on what conditions the happy family wants to live in.
Out of all places,
the zits love to live on the face.
Perhaps may be because it is the most prominent place.
As we all know,
zits love attentions.
Once they start to build their homes,
that is the point which we females feel the itchyness.
Wonder what type of construction materials they used?
Must be strong I guess since it catches our attention.
I think we should teach these zits family planning.
Mr Vivian Balakrishnan,
I suggest you don't introduce MILK to them
Sixth:
Finallly,
at times,
we fall ill.
Not enough with fatique,
the sneezing,
coughing,
fever bug will attack our body system.
It just make us feel worse.
These bugs simply enjoy seeing us looking
& feeling lousy.
But in all,
not all the time we get all of these 6 PMS factors during the period.
If we are lucky,
we may only encounter 1.
I'm sure there are more factors than those that I've listed.
Above are just those that I've personally encounter myself
or through stories from friends.
Best of lucks my fellow menstrual females.
=D
